Meenakshi Dinesh, a newcomer who made her Malayalam debut in Joshiy's Porinju Mariyam Jose as Nyla Usha's younger sister, is the leading lady in Vinod Guruvayoor's upcoming film Mission C.
The young lady, a visual communication student in Mangalore who is also a professional kuchipudi dancer, tells us about her persona. “I play a college student named Naina. A pair of students embark on a trip in the film's plot. I did everything in Idukki to get it. It was a lot of fun because we were both students filming the series together.” “How did she get the part in the movie?” says the actress. Vinod sir, the chief of Mission C, is friends with Joshiy sir. Joshiy sir was the one who brought this chance to my attention, and if he invites you to work on a project, there is no going back. Meenakshi explains how she came to be a part of Mission C.
According to Meenakshi, she broke into the industry unexpectedly a few years ago with the release of Kaumaram, a music album with National Award-winning actress Surabhi Lakshmi. “I'm from Kannur, and I met her at a Kannur airport ad shoot that took place in my neighbourhood. At the moment, we were fast friends. I quickly replied yes when she asked if I was interested in acting. Those who worked on the project showed my photographs to Joshiy sir for Porinju Mariam Jose's character, and Mission C was born,” she says.
Meenakshi will next be seen in Jiju Ashokan's upcoming film Pulli. “We wrapped filming in Thrissur in April,” the actress says, though she remains tight-lipped about her role in the film.
