Sharan, the actor from the Malayalam film Chithram, died at the age of 49.


Actor Sharan, who was best known for his role in Mohanlal's film "Chithram," has died. According to sources, the 49-year-old actor has been on antibiotics for the past few days due to a high fever. His condition had worsened and he was taken to the hospital this morning.

Sharan rose to prominence after starring alongside Mohanlal in the 1988 film Chithram. In the film, the late actor played Vishnu's (Mohanlal) pal, and he was a child artist at the time. Sharan also had a few main scenes in the film with Mohanlal. He's also acted in a couple of other Malayalam films. Sharan has also worked as a movie dubbing artist.

Mohanlal paid tribute to his ‘Chithram’ co-star Sharan. Actress Ranjini, who played the leading lady in ‘Chithram’ also bid farewell to her co-star.


“Can’t believe that you are no more my little brother, Saran Swarachithra who can forget your innocent performance in Chithram? Rest dear,” Ranjini penned in her social media post.
