Siddharth has been threatened with rape and death. 'The BJP Tamil Nadu IT cell leaked my phone number,' actor tweets.

After his phone number was leaked, actor Siddharth said that he and his family have been subjected to "assault, rape, and death threats." He claims that his phone number was leaked by the BJP Tamil Nadu IT cell.

THE NUMBER OF SIDDHARTH'S PHONE HAS BEEN LEAKED.

Siddharth said on Twitter that he has registered all calls and is handing them over to the police. He penned, 

"My phone number was leaked by members of TN BJP and @BJPtnITcell. Over 500 calls of abuse, rape and death threats to me & family for over 24 hrs. All numbers recorded (with BJP links and DPs) and handing over to Police. I will not shut up. Keep trying @narendramodi @AmitShah (sic)." 

Siddharth also posted screenshots of the trolls on social media who publicly intimidated him. He wrote, 

"This is one of many social media posts by BJP TN members leaking my number yesterday and telling people to attack and harass me. "Ivan inimela vaaye thirakka koodathu" (this fellow must never open his mouth again) We might survive Covid. Will we survive these people? (sic)."

Siddharth has been vocal in expressing his dissent against the ruling BJP government. In the recent past, the actor has criticised the ruling party over their Covid crisis management.
