Adithya Varma's official trailer, Telugu's Tamil remake hit Arjun Reddy, was released on Tuesday. For glorifying toxic masculinity and violence against women, both Arjun Reddy and the Hindi remake Kabir Singh have been heavily criticized. Nevertheless, the Tamil edition seems to be the original's faithful copy. This is not shocking in terms of the box office success of the previous films, given their blatant misogyny.
On November 8, the film will hit the screens.
Starring in important roles Dhruv Vikram, Banita Sandhu and Priya Anand, the film was directed by Arjun Reddy's director Gireesaaya, an associate of Sandeep Vanga (who infamously justified the violence as "love" in his film).
The trailer starts with a disciplinary hearing and then continues to say Dhruv's furious doctor's story, Adithya.
Banita's success in October will render her Tamil debut as Meera in this movie. Ravi K Chandran did the cinematography of the movie while the final production was edited by Vivek Harshan. For this iteration of the remake, Radhan, who originally made the music with Arjun Reddy and Bala's film, was also retained as the music director.
This film's remake was initially made by Bala director and was called Varma. But, after the producers became dissatisfied with the production, it was later scrapped. Bala had stated in a statement that it was his decision to leave the venture and rejected the producers ' arguments. "Because of the Varma producer's false statement, I am forced to release this clarification. It was my own choice to remove myself from the project in order to preserve creative freedom. Taking into account the future of Dhruv Vikram, I'd like to end this here, "he said.
E4 Entertainment, producers of famous Malayalam films such as Ezra and Godha, bankrolled Adithya Varma.
Upon finishing this film's filming, Dhruv posted a video on Instagram, stating he and his father were grateful for the opportunity. "Adithya Varma is always going to be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. He gave me a goal, gave me significance for my life, gave me certainty about myself, and above all, showed me how to never give up. So much love, particularly the person (his dad Vikram) in the last picture, for all the people in this clip. Without you, he couldn't have done it, "he added.
