Rosshan Andrews, a well-known Mollywood filmmaker, recently shared a fascinating movie-related update. He revealed on social media that he would remake his 2013 film Mumbai Police, and congratulated himself on the film's eight-year anniversary this month.
About the fact that the director stated that the film would be remade, he did not specify which language(s) it would be made in. He's already directed the Kollywood remake of his Malayalam film How Old Are You? This film is expected to be remade in Tamil as well.
In the year 2013, the psychological thriller Mumbai Police was released. It was directed by Bobby-Sanjay and starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya, and Rahman. The movie did well at the box office.
The storey follows Antony Moses, an ACP in Ernakulam who loses his memories after an accident. He wants to figure out what happened in a situation that has already been solved. Well before Section 377 was repealed, the crime drama featured a mainstream hero playing a gay cop. While it was panned for not accurately portraying the character, it was the first of its kind in Malayalam cinema.
G Diwakaran was in charge of cinematography, Mahesh Narayanan of editing, and Gopi Sundar of the background score for Mumbai Police. Nisad Haneefa produced the crime thriller alongside Nivas Haneef and Niyas Haneefa under the banner of Nisad Haneefa Productions.
Director Rosshan is currently awaiting the release of his next film, the Malayalam film Salute, which stars actor Dulquer Salmaan.
