Mamangam is a 2019 Indian Malayalam historical period drama film directed by M. Padmakumar.[1] Sajeev Pillai was the director in the first schedule but was replaced by M. Padmakumar.[2] The film is about historical Mamankam festival of the 18th century in the banks of the Bharathappuzha at Thirunavaya, in the Malabar region.[3][4] The film follows the story of Chaaverukal warriors who plot to overthrow the Zamorin rulers. It stars Mammootty and Prachi Tehlan.[5] The music is composed by M. Jayachandran.[6][7] The film, which was originally shot in Malayalam, will have simultaneous releases dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
