An earthquake hit the Northeast this afternoon, the Indian weather office confirmed. The earthquake struck at 1:15pm and was measured at 5.2 on the Richter magnitude scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Manipur's Senapati district, the weather office said.
The earthquake led to tremors across the Northeast. Earthquake tremors were reported from Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
